These pages will provide information on three research programs in the School of Plant and Evironmental Sciences Department at Virginia Tech:  Wheat and Barley Breeding, Soybean Breeding, and Crop Genomics.

We conduct innovative research resulting in the advancement of science and enhancement of environmental quality and human well-being via development and delivery of improved and novel plant-based products and systems.  Our research has applications in food, feed, fiber and fuel production, and provides cutting edge knowledge in the education and training of students, and in technology transfer and outreach to practitioners and stakeholders.
